Here's a quick post of what I saw on the runway at the International Woolmark Prize Asia Regional Fashion Show. Like an episode from America's Next Top Model, 10 nominated designers were given the chance to showcase one outfit from a total of 6 to move on as a finalist for Asia at Milan Fashion Week. Designers ALANI, CHU YAN, ffiXXed, matohu, motonari ono, PLOTZ, Post December, SANKUANZ, TACHE and YUN LINN represented the best of Asia from China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. With a judging panel consisting of last year's winner Christian Wijnants, editor in chief of Vogue China Angelica Cheung and Global Creative Director of Calvin Klein, Kevin Carrigan, the show was as real and intense as an episode of America's Next Top Model. The runway was also set atop the pool which overlooked the Kowloon skyline, providing a breathtaking background for an equally amazing presentation.
Stay tuned for part 3 for my interview with Japanese designer Motonari Ono!
