A few weeks ago, Club Monaco held a street carnival that resembled a New York style block party buzzing with jazz, beer and even a nacho stand. It was loud enough to be heard 2 blocks away, tempting curious passer-bys to find out what it was all about.
Known for their urban chic aesthetic and modern sensibility, Club Monaco is famous for mixing fashion must-haves with timeless classics. To further emphasise their role as an influencer in urban lifestyles, Club Monaco set out to promote their eponymous journal that references the brand's heritage whilst covering a wide range of lifestyle topics ranging from fashion, art, photography, culture and travel.
Taking inspiration from the "paper route", these journals were distributed over the course of the day with singer songwriter Alex Lam and a crew of chic-looking bikers riding around town.
Having read the journal myself, I was particularly interested in a two page spread about Sheung Wan which they made into a guide for bikers. Stores like Square Street, Teakha and Select 18 count as one of my personal favourites and the cute little illustrations make it all the more enjoyable.
