Street Style: Hong Kong | Actions speak louder than words

While Red is the colour of passion, its darker sister Burgundy is often compared to the blood that breathes life into our bodies. Despite the subtle shade that it is, one cannot deny its associations rendering it a colour of strength and virility. On this man, a simple Burgundy shirt is paired with an all-black ensemble. Long fluid lines casually drape and fall over the body and into itself; a mildly defiant gesture highlighting the beauty of the fabric as opposed to loud graphic prints (particularly one that's floral in nature).

Perhaps it's a phase that I am going through; gone are the days of maximalism and over-the-top extravagance. Whilst I cannot tear myself away from colourful prints, I really admire the beauty of understated elegance as evidently shown here. His silent stature and troubled expression makes him seem like a man lost in his own thoughts. Like the colour he is wearing, he appears strong but not overbearing. At the end of the day, actions really do speak louder than words...
